BIRLEY COMMUNITY DAY

Birley Fields Community Day was a day hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University Birley Fields Campus to invite local residents in Hulme into their new campus. The day was focused around the community inviting local organisations to host events which encompassed a flavour of what the community of Hulme is about. As a group we gain an intresting insight into Hulme. Throughout the day there were talks, films and discussions about Hulme. Engaging with the community allowed us to connect with certain members of the community, to hear first hand stories and create relationships. It was on this context that we collaborated with Venture Arts and established the photobooth event for the day.
